Help Us Get Nakba Ad to
AIPAC Conference Tomorrow!
Our mobile Nakba billboard during the set up for the "Israel@60: A Capital Celebration"
event on the National Mall. To keep our ad campaign going and send it to the AIPAC
conference, please click here. Yesterday, the US Campaign's mobile advertisement commemorating the Nakba circled the National Mall in Washington, DC during the "Israel@60: A Capital Celebration".
We endured countless hostile stares, plenty of middle fingers, racist invective and even a knife-wielding fanatic who literally tried to cut down our ad!
Nevertheless, we managed to prick the consciences of thousands of people who came to celebrate Israel's 60th anniversary while ignoring the historical and current injustices that Israel has inflicted on the Palestinian people, as well as to educate thousands of tourists taking in the sites of our nation's capital.
Today, our billboard is hanging out at the Washington Convention Center where AIPAC is holding its 2008 Policy Conference. An estimated 6,500 AIPAC conference attendees will see our giant 10x22 foot billboard and be reminded that the country for which they advocate was founded through an act of ethnic cleansing.
Tomorrow, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is due to speak at the AIPAC conference and our friends at the Coalition for Justice and Accountability are rolling out the welcome mat for him with a protest. If you're in DC, join them from 5:30-7:00PM on Tuesday, June 3 on Massachusetts Ave. between 7th and 9th St. NW.

A book I read
i read a palestine book called Tunjur! Tnjar! by Alik arzoumanian-it is a palestiian folklore! it is about a pot who takes stuff and its momi found out nd got upset and told her child the pot it was wrong to steal. it was a good story and i loved the pictures. i am getting more books on palestine.

I love u more than I love myself or anyone in my family, u & tati, & momi is my family, regardless what we go thru ur momi is my family, my best friend, my everything ok, I love her & miss u all darlin' my cat is big she's 2 years old now, she's not a kitty like in her photos.....one day u come here 2 my home & u stay & tati & play with the kat ok her name is PiPa 4 Pinpanella........I use 2 call her pinpy when she was a little thing, now she's 2 so she's Pipa a grown up name, what do u think of her name huh Angel.......one more thing Angel I love u very much I will never ever 4get u, I hope u that u never 4get me, I will always love u 3 like if we was real family, no better than real family ok......sorry doll 4 not answering fast, I have been sick lately ok, but nothing bad ok, so don't worry about Aunty Sakeena ok.....

Salam Angel,I just wanted to wish you a Happy New year.Here is is summer and its very warm...in 9 week my grandaughter will be born i think she might look like the angels in the picture...:-)
Salam Miss Angel,I hope you had a lovely Eid with your family.I like the picture you sent me.This picture is of the city I live in, called Napier in New Zealand.Here it is summer.Everyday I go out into my back yard and look at my apricot tree.And I watch the apricots growing bigger today they had a hint of golden colour on the ones at the top of the tree.I wish i could share my apricots with you and all the hungry children in Gaza.
