Ghyslaine, let us leave the Jewish-Christian-Muslim debate alone, let us concentrate on the Zionist invaders of Palestine: defeat them through campaigning in every way we can, as I suggested below.

German govt to give Isreal warships for free

Tuesday, 24 November 2009
Protest demo scheduled in Berlin for November 30

by Jonas Feller

Israel, which has recently been condemned by the UN Human Rights Council because of their war crimes (1), asks Germany to build them two new warships – for free. (2)

After the German chancellor Merkel argued in front of the US congress that “whoever threatens Israel, threatens us” (3), it seems as if Israel will get what it wants. This wouldn’t, however, be anything new: At the turn of the millennium, G… Continue

Um Salamuna and more

Today over 150 Palestinians and internationals participated in an activity to reclaim and plant olive trees on a threatened hill in an area called Um Salamuna. Um Salamuna already lost significant amount of its land to colonial Jewish-only settlements like Efrata and Migdal Oz. The wall that includes the settlements has not been completed in this area and is slated to zig-zag to capture the h… Continue

Do you remember the ill-fated Palestinian refugees who were living in the desert at AlRowaished Camp on the Jordanian – Iraqi borders? Those are the same people the Brazilian government promised in 2007 to offer them refuge and save their lives. Guess what? They arrived in Brazil a… Continue

I think the changes work well. The hardest part for me is the images because I can't see the images in the original language. In English a few of the images are a bit obscure or surrealistic. That isn't bad, just an observation. If you want the poem to be crystal-clear to readers, we could discuss how to change the images. If you want the images primarily to create moods and feelings, I think they work well. However, working on poems through the website is tricky, because things keep "moving." Would it be possible for you to email me and work through email? I think we could work better together and not distract from the focus of the site.

I'm new here and I can't find the poem I edited in this thread. If you can post the poem as I edited it, one of us can change the CAPS to regular case and remove the brackets. Then you can see what you think of the edited poem. I would do it if I could find the poem, but I haven't figured out where everything goes on this site, yet.

I'm going to publish a page on Palestinian poetry, and any other poetry relating to the Nabka, so please consider putting me in touch with any poets or lovers of poetry who can help me. My site gets 15,000 to 20,000 page views per month, and many readers are probably students doing research on the Holocaust. So we may be able to reach people with the message that all such things must end, now and forever. People underestimate the power of words to change hearts and minds. William Blake and Charles Dickens wrote about the plight of children forced to perform dangerous slave labor, and soon thereafter civilized nations began to pass child labor laws. Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and when Abraham Lincoln let her, he said, "So you're the little lady who started this big war." Words have power, but few Americans are reading about and understanding what it is really like to be a Palestinian mother, or a Palestinian child. We need to help them see, because many Americans will respond if they do understand.

Hi!

My name is Mike Burch. I'm a leading online publisher of Holocaust poetry who now works daily for equal rights for Palestinians. We have a series of pages on the Nakba at

www.thehypertexts.com

Also, I spoke recently at a Freedom Walk for Palestinians in Nashville, Tennessee. We had 140 freedom walkers, the most in any American city to date. So we are doing what we can to let Americans know that in the 21st century, all human beings must have equal rights.

Iqbal:

I have posted your article to United Progressives. I like to post a small signature biography at the bottom of each article, identifying the writer, and saying something about him/her. Can you give me a small paragraph saying something about you, such as where you live and what you write.

I have also added you to our membership roll so that your name appears properly at the top of each article, which is drawn from the database of authors. If you can provide me with an email address, I will add you to our newsletter mailing list.

Hi, Iqbal. It's a real pleasure to get acquainted. Emman Chehade Randazzo, a dear friend on Facebook, visits your site, and I happened to see one of her posts of your articles. I think I've seen her post them before, but have not visited your site until today. I'm very appreciative of the kind of information you provide, and I'd like to publish some of it in United Progressives.

I have been saying for a while that egypt need to be boycotted.... well the government does...perhaps through tourism
I would think mubarak is protecting his aide from the usa
Is it black mail?
Or is he also getting back hands to do what he is doing?
I am not sure.......
It sicken me to see what egypt has now taken on the cloak of the zionist
