Dear Iqbal, No, I haven’t suffered hunger. But that doesn’t prohibit me from understanding it. I don’t need to be a battered wife to understand and empathise with her pain – and I don’t need to have been starved to understand and empathise with t...

I don’t think Pam’s comment was between choosing between a day at the Bolshoi ballet and finding essential sustenance. As your own blog outlined – a further catastrophe of the siege is the mental anguish it imposes on people – especially children....

Soooo proud of all those students of conscience! I know the hard work that has gone into this - and the work still to do. Hopefully this is an important landmark in the BDS campaign and that other Universities will follow suit.

Couldn’t agree more! There have always been those who will misuse religion in the pursuit of power. My understanding of God encourages love, compassion, a quest for justice and peace – sentiments which can also be shared by those of no faith. ‘T...

About Me:
I am Scottish by birth and married to a Palestinian. We live in England with our 3 children. My interest in the Palestinian issue pre-dates my marriage - in fact it was at a Palestinian fundraiser where I met my husband.
I therefore approach this issue as a mother, as a wife of a Palestinian - and as a member of the human race fighting for justice and peace.

Gaza children shatter world record

Engaging Muslim voices

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2005/nov/21/july7.immigrationpolicyIslamic voice of reason

Interesting article, I felt - with lots of assumptions that are open to debate!

I am not Muslim, though my husband and children are. I want them to engage in public debate – I want them to have a say in their future – For my children,I want them to leave their mark in the society in which they were raised!
How do Muslims in the west engage in transforming their societies for the better?

It is this term Peace, which I want to discuss here.

Many of the members on this site are also members of another forum mepeace, which I gather many have become… Continue
