- salaam :) yes "habibi" is used as masculine and "habibti" as feminine when talking of a lover-but "habibi" can be also used as a general term of endearment for loved ones, family, close friends etc of either gender-male or male-(refer to some some arabic songs in which singer is ferring to loved ones uses "habibi" )
