Dears,

A Call for Reassessment (Very Important).

The following link contains a letter to the West.

http://www.alettertothewest.com/en/index.php

Send it to every one in your surrounding for abetter understanding.

Brief:

This letter was drafted by a group of Muslim scholars and intellectuals who recently gathered to discuss development in the relationship with the 'West', and the best and most logical manner to deal with the acceleration of infringements on the sanctities of Islam and Muslims by individuals, and by governmental, religious, and media organizations in the 'West'.

Your studies sound difficult, covering a lot of territory there, but certainly fascinating! You should meet some of the people from Tlaxcala, (a translators' group). Many of them have done comparative literature studies. I've been in Italy 20 years, and through teaching English, I've finally understood the "mechanisms" of my native language.

That your friends barely eat sweets saves them! I would never survive in Alba. I do hope we can meet, you seem like such an intelligent and caring person.

Then again, my "to meet" list grows so much, I know it will never happen unless I live to be 500 years old! Internet has certainly opened many doors. Maybe it will be the tool that our cause has been waiting for all this time.

There is a group of young activists I am part of (even though I guess that at 46 I'm not that young!) who are right now trying to organise a way of developing through communication technology. Haitham is one of them, and he is here. Perhaps he would be able to tell more about it, because he is one of the developers, and with your background and interests, it would be great to have the input of an educator.

hope you have a great day!

So nice to hear from you Linda! It's so interesting what you say, about how in the past you may have first thought of people based on where they were from or their religion. A lot of really good people actually still do, but that is such a mistake. The Zionists, who are not religious at all, but USE it as a pretext and pretend to be (they worship the Bible, the words, not the meaning behind it, and especially, take it as a defense of their very human and egoistic longings and acts) judge people only as Jew or Non-Jew, and they treat them accordingly. This means, they have no space in their minds for helping their brothers, much less for humanity as a whole.

You are a million years ahead of them, Linda, by embracing just in your brief bio what you care about, humans! What are you planning on studying, by the way?

I've never been to Alba, but it is the "sweets and chocolate" capital of Italy, so it definitely is on my list of places to visit!!! I imagine your friends must have trouble resisting the temptation. I know I would!!!! I smell hot chocolate coming out of a cafè and I have to go in and have some, it is stronger than me.

Looking forward to reading the things you share with us here!

Hello linda! You know what I notice, in Palestinian social circles, the people involved in communication of the cause has a distinct focus. The goal is for humanity, for rights. In Zionist ones (and for reasons of research, I have to "study" them), the only issue is "Saving Israel". To counter this, they exaggerate with the Darfur campaigns, and today with the case of the Afghani journalist. This is why the Palestinian struggle will in the end succeed, because no matter what, people essentially want to see the success of what is right, not what simply is the most powerful.
Good luck with your studies!!
