By Aztec Camera and Mick Jones. This song came to mind when I was reading Iqbal's post on Un-English. I think the lyrics are very meaningful. The past is steeped in shame, but tomorrow's fair game. It says basically that Britain has tried for so long to put down this one and that one, creating "the Briton" conforming with a rigid and exclusive stereotype, but that's not the real beauty of Britain, which they say is the something quite different!
