URGENT PETITION

So I starting this so I can add to it, as & when they come along & here's the latest:

British "Apology" to the people of Palestine

Scottish effort to issue a British apology to the Palestinian people for Balfour ...

The link which takes you directly to the petition is

http://epetitions.scottish.parliament.uk/view_petition.asp?Petition...

With two days to go, please make the effort to sign and demonstrate that there is a groundswell of opinion behind the petitioner who will present the petition to the Petitions Committee in early June.

Please distribute widely. Anyone can sign, outside or inside Scotland.

Spamming Petitions, 'a great job?' & I did so fancy myself as a writer but it's nice to see Scotland upto something, they are way ahead of us. I just came by another little poll by way of Sabbah's blog:

ISRAEL: The one-state solution? You vote
A story online today details how Palestinians are losing hope that negotiations will ever produce a fair deal for an independent state beside Israel.

In response, sentiment is growing among Palestinians to stop fighting for territory and begin struggling for equal rights and voting privileges in a land where Arabs will soon be the majority.

We'll put it to the readers:

Plz, plz, no mention work, the dole office won't like it, the FT don't like it, this was a competition entry but regards Balfour, I feel stronger now (after my crash course in Zionism) than when I knocked this up some 6 months ago:

Crikey, famous last words - maybe there's hope for petitions yet:

Good news! 5,000 of us agreed "Jimmy Carter speaks for me" when he said Hamas must be included in any Israeli-Palestinian peace process. We gave our petition - co-sponsored by "Just Foreign Policy" - to President Carter, who told us, "I am grateful for the efforts of Jewish Voice for Peace." (Read the full press release from the Carter Center here.) And we're going to give the petition to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John McCain and ask them to support talking with Hamas, too.

Today we learned that not only is the former president hearing our voices, but the media is hearing us, too, including in Israel. The Huffington Post, Daily Kos, CommonDreams - and The Jerusalem Post - are all reporting that 5,000 people support President Carter's brave position and believe that Hamas must be included in any Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. Tell a Friend Now!
Help collect signatures by telling your friends about the petition now, by clicking here.
Let's raise that number to 20,000 and send an even stronger message to the presidential candidates. If you haven't signed already, will you sign our petition? Either way, will you send it to 10 friends and family and ask them to sign?

Sign the petition here:

And please read the Carter Center's press release about our petition here. Our work means a lot to President Carter. Please sign the petition and encourage others to sign!

Hi Andrew! I was delighted to sign this petition, while ashamed of our Zionist Prime Minister who has said last week that "an enemy of Israel is an enemy of Canada." These criminals must be brought to justice and I applaud Dr Vijaya Rajiva's initiative. Thanks for posting this!

You have a Zionist PM? So do we...
Brown: Israel one of 20th century's 'greatest achievements' - 8 May 2008
By GREER FAY CASHMAN British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has called Israel one of the "greatest achievements" of the 20th century. ...

We have a Zionist leader of the opposition too and I think all three US presidential candidates have sworn their allegiance... so it's great this democracy lark....h'mmm
Trouble is Crystal and I hate to think it but these criminals probably will not be brought to trial until they have lost their war with Iran, which at present, I can't see anything halting our rapid spiralling into.

Canada is the third most zionized country in the world. The PM is a Zionist and so is the leader of the opposition. Two sides of a same coin! All the US presidents since Roosevelt have also been Zionist.
And I think that unfortunately you are right on this Andrew. They won't be brought to justice they have lost the war they are brewing with Iran. We are spiralling down faster than I thought we would.////

shukran Andrew for posting these links--the "release-11000-palestinians" petition I signed a while ago-but the others I had not seen-what gr8 sites for human rights and what powerful human rights/political writers Iqbal, Nadia and Mary are (If I left anyone out please forgive me)...
I also signed up for both site newsletters and am hopeful that with enough voices and support..victory for Palestine and other human rights issues will be ours....I see ppl in power here trying to squelch the truth, deny the genocide and try to ignore the issue-but-the voices here-are getting louder and louder and with elections coming soon-this cannot be ignored much longer--The Palestinian festival here in San Fran was a wonderful, peaceful and positive event-with people from all walks of life coming to support Palestinian's....but in adddition-the truth of the horrors was told thru speeches, music and presenters as well as many booths, vendors and petitions.....the cause is alive and well here amongst the people....I will be posting pictures of the event as soon as I get them back.
Shukran again for this most important post.
love n bless Esha
